I had a major concussion from playing soccer and was having double vision and blurry vision as a result of it, so I was referred to Dr. Grant to help me fix it.
Before I participated in vision therapy, the computer screens were blurry, I was seeing double of things and the hardest part was my blurry vision on the soccer field. My main goals of vision therapy were to get my blurry vision under control so that seeing things and going through my daily schedule would become easier. Also, I wanted to improve my vision so that I would be able to perform better on the soccer field without my vision becoming blurry.
After completing vision therapy I don’t have an issues with seeing double and I very rarely get any blurry vision. I don’t need to wear my glasses often now because my vision has improved so much. I am also able to see the smartboards at school more clearly, I can spend a longer time on my electronics without the screen becoming blurry or double, and I am able to play a full soccer game without my vision getting blurry or becoming double.
If you’re in vision therapy, make sure you practice the exercises and also, try your best because in the long run it will pay off and your vision will be so much better than it was before you started.
I would definitely recommend vision therapy, It has helped improve my vision greatly and has affected my everyday life by making things easier to see. It’s definitely beneficial for anyone who has trouble with their vision.
